The Product Specialist, Private Debt Mobilization (PDM) is responsible for leading the distribution efforts for our Company’s private debt products. They work on the origination of new transactions by contributing with placement capabilities to a diversified investor base across different sectors and financing products. Keeps a consistent and diversified network with the main market stakeholders in the private debt space.

Supports on the origination of new opportunities on the private debt space by bringing prospective partners and investors. Pursue new investment prospects within existing or untapped markets. Gathers market intelligence, generates leads, and develops proposals/campaigns to garner new business, ensuring a consistent flow of business to the bank and efficient financing solutions to our clients. Uses knowledge of markets, industries, and clients to determine demand, future trends and potential trades. Works on investors mapping across different markets, sectors and industries. Develops distribution solutions to gather different liquidity pools to our private debt transactions. Works on new primary originated deals alongside distribution solutions for our back book.

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

  • Leads the Company's business development efforts throughout the assigned region targeting larger scale clients.

  • Provides the full breadth of the Company's products and services to clients and prospects.

  • Oversees deal teams during underwriting process and transaction due diligence.

  • Oversees production of offering memoranda and engagement letters.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with prospective lenders to ensure adequate market demand for private debt opportunities (corporate loans, project finance, structured finance, fund finance, commercial real estate, trade and working capital facilities, etc) originated by the Company.

  • Participates in joint calling effort with bankers in an effort to uncover private debt opportunities with our clients.

  • Partners with Relationship Managers on new business development opportunities related to private debt opportunities.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree and/or work experience, in Business or a related field.

  • Master's Degree in Business or a related field. (Pref.)


Work Experience:

  • 12+ Years Business Development, Product Specialist Management, or related experience.

  • Demonstrated thought leader in banking products and services.

  • Very strong interpersonal communication skills, complemented by both excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Expert presentation and public speaking skills.

  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation, as well as analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated complex contact negotiation/creation skills.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. For NYC Job Applicants: The base annual salary range for this position is $220,000-$270,000. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
