The Difference You Make:

The VP, Application Development/Cash Equity, Electronic Trading serves as a support personnel and/or project manager for multiple application initiatives. Analyzes, designs, develops and maintains software applications to support Equity related product & respective business units. Controls and/or provides solutions to single and/or multiple organizations, with minimal management guidance. Provides advanced technical expertise in analyzing, designing, estimating, and developing software applications to project schedule. Oversees workflows design and implementation of most complex design components. Creates project plans and deliverables and monitors task deadlines. The incumbent oversees, maintains and supports existing software applications and provides subject matter expertise in reviewing, analyzing, and resolving complex issues.

  • The role is joining an active team in providing immediate hands-on support for Equity Principal Trading and Cash desks.
  • Owns the enablement of customer /sales enablement on the dealer to customer markets
  • Candidate will troubleshoot trade flow in Fidessa and provide functional support to the desk.
  • Role includes documenting all issues and working to escalate as needed.
  • Must be able to own all issues from report to completion.
  • Resource is expected to conduct broker/dealer onboarding by performing FIX testing/certification with counterparties as needed.
  • Ability to navigate high touch traders in Equities trading floor to support Cash Equities/Swaps/Derivatives traders
  • Know all Fidessa modules related to trading business specifically Equity related products
  • Algorithmic trading experience preferred with some vendor products exposure
  • Project management experience would be beneficial so the resource can assist on Equity projects
  • Establishes infrastructure standards and requirements.
  • Evaluates, directs and supports Application system enhancements and performs quality assurance functions.
  • Provides highest degree of technical engineering and support to the team.
  • Researches and implements solutions for Application functionality in the areas of performance monitoring and tuning and systems configuration, design and implementation.
  • Contributes to the design and delivery of complex projects to achieve key business objectives.
  • Leads efforts to ensure the workplace environment supports a highly motivated and effective workforce focused on continuous improvement and best practices.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Information Technology or equivalent field. - Required.
  • 9+ Years Information Technology, Fidessa and other order management system flows
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, as well as strong/proven management skills.
  • Ability to continually assess and evaluate the impact of emerging technologies against the strategic business needs and interpret business value for the leadership team in a consultative capacity.
  • Provides strong leadership to the various team members through mentoring, career development, interpersonal skills, teamwork ethic, and enabling leadership skills.
  • Proven understanding of Computer Science fundamentals including web development, service-oriented architecture, cloud computing, test driven development and domain driven design.
  • Strong services oriented architecture experience.
  • Ability to lead multiple sub-teams through example and persuasion.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to develop and maintain applicable industry knowledge and best practices.
  • Ability to stay up to date on industry trends.
  • Ability to foresee/ predict industry direction.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, energetic, and entrepreneurial work environment

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range

Minimum:

$112,500.00 USD

Maximum:

$185,000.00 USD
