The Difference You Make:
The Sr. Associate, Credit Risk is responsible for risk analysis and independent oversight of credit quality of assigned portfolios. They are responsible for all aspects of credit quality including compliance with requirements of regulators and internal control and will recommend opportunities and proposed resolutions for improved efficiency, effectiveness, and/or risk reduction for the department.
The incumbent is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and/or evaluating the Company's credit risk management program that renders risk-based processing and reporting to reduce operating losses and maintain maximum protection of the organization's assets, products, and services. The Sr. Associate will recommend opportunities and propose resolutions for improved efficiency, effectiveness, and/or risk reduction for the department.
- Translates business queries into actionable and commercial insights leveraging unstructured data and statistically robust techniques.
- Drives cross functional analytics projects from beginning to end builds relationships with partner teams, frames and structures questions, collects and analyzes data, and summarizes key insights in support of decision making.
- Works with engineers to evangelize data best practices and implement analytics solutions.
- Evaluation and discovery of alternative data vendors including ability to quantifiably validate external algorithms and apply insights to commercially driven use cases.
- Performs quantitative analysis, including alpha assessment, risk analysis, portfolio construction and return attribution to enhance investment strategies using sourced and external data.
- Leverages available data tools and collaborate with data scientists and engineers across the firm and adapts data initiatives to needs of business.
- Collaborates across functional areas of our business at every level of seniority to uncover and address opportunities for scalability and growth. Influences others at an operational level regarding new concepts, best practices and approaches related to credit risk mitigation, credit risk identification and resolution, and/or credit risk management.
- Leads special risk mitigation projects and/or programs, business continuity and other incident response and security related activities supporting industry best practices, improved efficiency, effectiveness and risk reductions.
- Influences others at an operational level regarding new concepts, best practices and approaches related to credit risk mitigation, credit risk identification and resolution, and/or credit risk management.
- Systematizes ad hoc reporting for line of businesses and team members to facilitate miscellaneous senior and executive management reporting and status updates as needed. Where required, provides review and challenge for senior management reporting.
- Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) while providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Accounting, Business, Statistics, Information Systems, Finance, Economics or equivalent field. - Required.
- Master's Degree: Accounting, Business, Statistics, Information Systems, Finance, Economics or equivalent field. - Preferred.
- 9+ Years Risk Management or Credit Risk. - Required.
- 9+ Years Financial Industry experience. - Required.
- 9+ Years Consulting - Preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of the operational, accounting, credit, regulatory, market and technological risks within Financial Industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of credit policies and procedures, regulations and applicable law(s).
- Demonstrated credit analysis skills for understanding/tracking counter party performance and market risk & modeling skills for evaluating trade positions and the related counter party risk exposures.
- Demonstrated track record interacting with the regulators, external and internal audit.
- Superior project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management, work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize activities, manage conflicts of interest, delegate, and meet deadlines while working in a fast paced-environment.
- Ability to analyze risk and design efficient control practices and processes to remediate/minimize risk.
- Strong presentation skills.

What Else You Need To Know:
The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
