The Difference You Make:
The Loan Closer, Relationship Officer provides day-to-day support and service in the Closing Department of the Santander Real Estate Capital division, specializing in Multifamily and Commercial loans.The Loan Closer provides heavy support and service by working with Brokers, Attorneys and Borrowers via telephone and email. The Closer answers all Broker, Attorney, Borrower and internal supporting department inquiries. The Loan Closer, Relationship Officer conducts follow up on all paperwork submitted to ensure it is completed accurately, forwarded to responsible parties for clearance and in a timely manner along with working with internal supporting departments.
• Handles issuing Commitment Letters once loans are approved, along with forwarding attorney packages to the Bank attorney.
• Troubleshoots and investigates Borrower and or Broker issues with the Closing Manger and internal department.
• Work with Borrowers, Brokers, Bank Attorney and internal departments with the intake of proof to clear conditions on the Commitment Letter and respond to modification letters.
• Prepares and updates their Closing Pipelines as loans are satisfied.
• Works with colleagues to cross check data and quality control.
• Types correspondence as needed (commitment letters, amending letters, general correspondence).
• Assists with Compliance requested items during audits to gather data / files.
• Meets expectations set for compliance testing related to government banking regulations.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience - Required.
3+ years of customer service, business process, real estate knowledge, loan document knowledge (specifically Fannie Mae and CMBS documents) - Required.
0+ Years Experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) - Required.

• Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise.

This is a REMOTE position in New York. You must be able to get to our NYC office if needed.
What Else You Need To Know:
The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
