The Latam offshore FX & Rates trading desk is looking for an analyst to join our team, the candidate will work closely with our senior traders in the US and multiple geographies across Santander footprint.
The Difference You Make:
The Markets Analyst is a role within the larger CIB Markets group that will assist with sales, trading, and/or hedging activities. This role will potentially stretch across different areas of the markets business to gain experience and assist with the day-to-day functions of the business. This person should expect to collaborate with different areas of both the front and back office of the Markets business, as well as CIB as a whole.
• Assists with sales, trading, and hedging activities.
• Generates trading ideas based on research, technical, trends.
• Helps to originate, structure, and model transactions.
• Assesses market trends and provide quantitative data for clients.
• Assists in providing analysis for accounts upon request.
• Performs market and quantitative research analysis.
• Assists in structuring, pricing, and executing trades.
• Handles day-to-day transaction needs, including reconciliation and clearing services.
• Uses risk management tools to monitor trading positions and risk.
• Assists in developing new products and bringing them to market.
• Builds complex financial models utilizing Microsoft Excel.

Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree and/or work experience: in Business or a related field - Required.
1+ Years of relevant Sales & Trading experience in a full-time or internship setting - Preferred.
• Strong interest in global financial markets.
• Highly motivated with a drive to succeed.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative skills.
• Ability to be flexible, adapt to changing priorities and prioritize deadlines.
• Advanced in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) with ability to learn new software(s). Modeling skills preferred.
• Proven ability work collaboratively in a team environment. .
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and project management skills.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
Salary: $82,500 - $135,000/year
