Opportunity to execute and manage a multi-billion dollar Leveraged Finance portfolio. The candidate will work closely with Corporate and Sponsor coverage teams, and risk management. The position requires a self-starter who is able to take initiative and work with senior analysts.

Candidates to join Santander's investment team for a role to assist in underwriting and managing a portfolio of Leveraged Lending names. The candidate will work as part of a team underwriting opportunities for Corporate and Sponsored transactions. The individual assists the analysis of companies, rating, regulatory assessment as part of the underwriting process. Assist in managing the portfolio of leveraged names for preparation through Leveraged Lending committee. Ability to work with nCino and proprietary Santander systems and work on special data projects.

Theprimaryfunction of the Analyst, Leveraged Finance & Specialties have a core foundation of credit analysis and be able to analyze financial statements, proficient in excel, and knowledge in acquisitions, recapitalizations, and refinancing transactions for new and existing customers (corporate and private equity owned) of Santander. The employee will interact with internal colleagues from Industry Banking, Credit Risk Management, and Capital Markets.


• Works as part of a deal team on underwriting new financing opportunities, which includes obtaining internal credit approval and managing the
loan documentation and closing process.
• Assist in managing a portfolio of credits and be responsible for monitoring client performance and adhering to credit policy and risk management requirements.
• Assists in initial transaction due diligence, credit research, enterprise value analysis, preparation of pre-screens and final credit approvals for new financing opportunities.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects, reviewing and negotiating loan agreement documents, loan closing and funding, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
• Evaluating risk factors and negotiating transactions on behalf of clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with little supervision.
• Ability to work well with others and on teams.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Minimum:

$63,750.00 USD

Maximum:

$97,500.00 USD
