The Difference You Make: The  Analyst/Associate, Global Banking Coverage Strategy + Business Development (SCIB) partners closely with senior stakeholders to drive strategic planning, business development initiatives, client and market analytics, pipeline and coverage optimization and creation of high-impact materials for senior executives and stakeholders.  The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.  This role has a focus on Global Banking Client Coverage, including Corporate Banking and Lending, across our three core Client Segments:  Corporates, Financial Sponsors and Financial Institutions. 

  • Supports the development and execution of coverage strategy across the Corporates, Financial Sponsors, and FIG segments, including client prioritization, relationship mapping, and call planning.
  • Assists in identifying business development opportunities by analyzing client portfolios, capital structure, financing needs, and market activity.
  • Develops and maintains coverage dashboards and scorecards tracking key performance indicators such as pipeline, lending activity, client engagement, and cross‑sell opportunities.
  • Prepares materials for coverage reviews, strategic planning discussions, and leadership meetings.
  • Works with coverage and product teams to support targeted client outreach and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyzes lending and financing opportunities, including revolving credit facilities, term loans, syndicated lending, acquisition financing, and related capital solutions.
  • Evaluates client capital structures, leverage levels, and financing trends to help identify opportunities for lending or capital markets engagement.
  • Tracks loan market activity, pricing trends, and competitor positioning to inform coverage strategy and client conversations.
  • Assists in assessing portfolio dynamics across client segments, including lending utilization, credit exposure trends, and relationship returns.
  • Conducts company and sector research using FactSet / Capital IQ / Bloomberg, including financial performance, capital structure analysis, ratings, ownership, and peer benchmarking.
  • Uses Dealogic to track relevant market activity, transaction trends, and competitive positioning in lending and capital markets.
  • Develop high-quality PowerPoint presentations and briefing materials for internal strategy discussions, coverage meetings, and leadership updates.
  • Build and maintain robust Excel-based analytics and reporting tools supporting coverage performance monitoring and client targeting.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, concise insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Produce periodic reporting on segment performance, pipeline development, and strategic initiatives.
  • Improves efficiency of recurring reporting and analysis through automation, standardized templates, and improved data workflows.
  • Utilizes AI tools and advanced analytics to accelerate research, synthesize market developments, and streamline internal processes while adhering to data governance and compliance standards.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve data quality, reporting consistency, and coverage intelligence across the organization.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent field - Required.
  • 2+ Years Experience in corporate banking, global banking coverage, lending, credit-related roles, banking strategy/business development, investment banking, or related financial services role- Required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (modeling, pivot tables, lookups, scenario analysis, clean data structures; VBA a plus)- Required
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint (executive story lining, charting, formatting, slide design discipline)- Required
  • Foundational understanding of corporate banking and lending products, capital structure concepts, and financing solutions for corporate clients.
  • Experience with Dealogic, Factset/CapitalIQ, and/or Bloomberg
  • Proficiency with AI tools for productivity and analysis
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

It Would Be Nice For You To Have:

  • Experience building BI-style dashboards or automated reporting
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce, DealCloud) and managing a deal pipeline
  • Familiarity with corporate lending processes and systems, including credit approval workflows, loan portfolio analytics, or syndication platforms.
  • Exposure to credit metrics and portfolio analytics, including leverage ratios, credit ratings, spreads, and risk-adjusted return frameworks.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required.

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range:

Minimum:

$90,000.00 USD

Maximum:

$125,000.00 USD
