What to expect when you apply at santander

Once you're ready to apply, make sure you've read through the job description carefully and meet the minimum qualifications. 

  • Give yourself time: Applications usually take about ten to fifteen minutes to complete. 
  • Use your resume to tell a clear, confident story of your experience, skills and potential, demonstrating how they align with the position you are applying to. 
  • Share what drives you and what you've achieved - concrete results and metrics help bring your story to life.

GETTING TO KNOW YOU: PHONE SCREEN

If your experience aligns with the requirements of the role you are seeking, our Talent Acquisition team will reach out to schedule a phone screening. This is our chance to get to know you better while learning more about your background, your interests and what excites you about the role. 

Whether we meet you virtually or in person, we want the experience to be smooth and comfortable. 

If you're joining us virtually: 

  • Choose a quiet space with minimal distractions. 
  • Test your tech ahead of time camera, microphone and connection. 
  • Use a clean, neutral background (or a virtual one if you prefer) 
  • Keep a glass of water nearby, have your notes ready, and take a breath — its your moment to shine. 

If you're visiting us in person: 

  • Plan your route and ask about parking if needed. 
  • Dress in standard business attire. 
  • Bring a notepad or portfolio if it helps you stay organized. 

Feeling nervous? Totally normal. We view interviews as a collaborative process. It is your chance to demonstrate your strengths and our chance to show you what makes our culture and team unique. 

  • Engage with your interviewers and ask questions — we love curiosity. 
  • Listen carefully to the interviewer and ask them to repeat questions if needed. 
  • Most importantly, be yourself. We're not just hiring a resume — we're hiring a teammate.
