Position Summary:

The Sr. Procurement Specialist is responsible for vendor negotiations, the onboarding of new vendors, and end-to-end procurement processes. This role ensures procurement operations run efficiently by maintaining accurate documentation in the Control Repository and optimizing workflows within SAP.

The Sr. Procurement Specialist reports to the Director of Procurement and Corporate Services.

Position Duties / Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the onboarding process of new vendors, ensuring compliance with company standards.

• Responsible for vendor management activities, including contract negotiations, competitive bid processes, and procurement workflows. Build and maintain a diverse network of reliable vendors while fostering effective collaboration with internal departments.

• Provide end-to-end guidance to users throughout the procurement process, including advising on accounting treatment, supporting purchase presentations for approval committees, and developing reports to track the status of purchase requests.

• Responsible for the Bank's online purchasing activities.

• Implement Audit & SOX recommendations and perform TPRM process with Operational Risk Department.

• Prepare and maintain procurement reporting to SHUSA.

• Support the preparation of presentations for the Purchase Investment Forum (PIF), including guiding requestors on required documentation and submission standards.

• Act as administrator of functions withing SAP Looking Ahead (SAP Hana S4).

• Create and maintain reporting in SAC Analytics, Power BI, and other tools decided by the Bank to provide visibility of KPIs related to the procurement process.

• Maintain up-to-date written procedures, process flowcharts, and supporting documentation to clearly communicate the procurement process to internal users, auditors, and senior management.

• Lead the onboarding process for consultants and temporary workers in Fieldglass, in coordination with an external service provider.

• Contribute to the development and planning of the annual budget, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and financial guidelines.

• Other duties as assigned or requested by immediate supervisor.

Specialized Knowledge:

• Experience with purchase and procurement process in a highly complex environment, with a heavy focus in Information Technology services and products.

Understanding of US GAAP accounitng rules with respect to purchases to be able to make decisions with respect to capitalization and proper recording of these expenses.

• Able to maintain the highest degree on confidentiality and professional discretion.

Power BI, SAP Hana (S4), SAC Analytics, Fieldglass, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Microsoft Office.

• Understanding of contracts. Ability to read and comprehend contractual terms. Ability to draft simple agreements, memos, and procedures.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize activities, manage conflicts of interest, meet deadlines while working in a fast paced environment.

• Ability to achieve efficient and productive results by working together with different departments.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

Business Experience:

3-5 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency

Supervisory / Management Scope:

Manage process or technology

Technical Knowledge
• High level of Proficiency in Power BI, SAP Hana (S4), SAC Analytics, Fieldglass, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, andMicrosoft.
• Advanced Analytical Skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to draft procedures, memos, and simple agreements.
• Proactive, organized.
• Ability to read and comprehend contractual terms, to determine the parties involved and main purpose of the agreement.

Languages:

English, and Spanish.   

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range

Minimum:

$54,375.00 USD

Maximum:

$95,000.00 USD
