Position Summary:
The Product Support Associate supports the Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) team in executing investment strategies and performing key middle-office functions for the trading desk. The role provides technical support to bankers, resolves DPM-related inquiries, and helps mitigate operational risk by monitoring and analyzing transactions.
Responsibilities also include reviewing securities setup across platforms and managing end-of-day mutual fund processing. The associate serves as a liaison between internal product teams and other bank departments, ensuring efficient operations and strong client service.
Position Duties / Responsibilities
Customer Service & Other Duties
• Handle calls and emails, liaising with internal departments to resolve banker inquiries.
• Support bankers with DPM account opening, liquidation processes, and trading procedures.
• Provide training to Relationship Assistants on Trading and DPM processes as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Transaction Processing
• Investigate and resolve blocked securities transactions in the middle-office system (Globus), coordinating with relevant teams.
• Identify issues preventing trade execution, assess exceptions, and advise bankers accordingly.
Trade & Position Reconciliation
• Perform daily reconciliation of DPM trading activity and escalate discrepancies.
• Prepare and review monthly Asset In/Asset Out reports to identify required actions.
SICAV Settlement
• Manage and reconcile daily SICAV trade settlements (equities, fixed income, and funds) via Bloomberg.
• Liaise with custodians and brokers to ensure timely settlement.
• Maintain and update settlement instructions and account details.
Other
• Rebalance discretionary portfolios based on profile changes.
• Execute investment, divestment, and liquidity activities for DPM portfolios.
• Monitor risk profile updates and compliance reports to ensure adherence to guidelines.
• Prepare security position reports upon request.
• Coordinate FX hedging activities and transfers.
• Update investment strategies and maintain system modules and grids.
Specialized Knowledge
• Previous experience in the Operations department and thorough understanding of security related processes
• Existing knowledgeand experience of the Security Master functionalities
• Understanding of the Globus system and functionalities
• Experience using Bloomberg is preferred
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
Business Experience:
5-7 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency
Supervisory / Management Scope
Manage process or technology
Technical Knowledge:
Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Bloomberg experience preferred.
Languages:
Spanish, English
What Else You Need To Know:
The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
