The Difference You Make: The Director, Tax ensures sound fiscal managements through development of monetary and tax policies. S/he develops new objectives, operating policies, processes, and standards in support of the tax reporting function operational and strategic direction.• Develops and implements tax reporting objectives, operating policies, and standards in support of the department and functional strategy.
• Manages and sets the goals and objectives for the Tax Reporting team.
• Works in close partnership with other areas of Finance to ensure accurate accounting for income taxes reporting and forecasting.
• Executes consistent, balanced project delegation, supervision and leadership skills across all areas of an engagement.
• Assists Finance teams to develop new operational tax reporting processes for implementation and understand impacts to taxation results.
• Manages the planning, direction, and automation of taxation projects, systems, and policies.
• Supervises the completion of Federal and State tax reporting requirements.
• Assists Director, Tax Reporting with the implementation of policies and projects.
• Communicates Tax Reporting strategy, direction, and impact from leadership on employee work objectives to team members.
• Reviews tax depreciation schedules prepared in Finance for all relevant entities.
• Provides necessary guidance and support to team in order to achieve performance and targets and objectives.
• Evaluates he preparation of corporate federate, state, and local income tax returns.
• Guides and supports the Tax Reporting team to achieve performance targets and objectives.
• Manages, motivates, and develops the Tax Reporting department through coaching and challenging opportunities. Bachelor's Degree: Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent field. - Required. Master's Degree Taxation or Accounting - Preferred. 9+ Years Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field. - Required.
• Advanced knowledge of Taxation and Statutory state and federal compliance principles.
• Advanced taxation and reporting knowledge.
• Advanced in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major taxation software.
• Ability to direct, train and guide peers, subordinates and management.
• Ability to adjust to new developments/changing circumstances.
• Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with multiple levels of the organizational structure, including senior level management.
• Ability to effectively interact with the market, executive management and vendors.
• Ability to convey a sense of urgency and drive issues/projects to closure.
• Ability to adapt and adjust to multiple demands and competing priorities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills.
• Demonstrated expertise in taxation reporting, or ability to perform at an advanced level of competence.
• Strong leadership, supervisory, and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain and report on confidential information in an appropriate manner. Certifications:
• CPA Certified Public Accountant - Preferred. It Would Be Nice For You To Have: Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
Salary: $135,000 - $235,000/year
