The Difference You Make:

The Sr. Associate, Business Analytics and Operations: is a strategic professional who contributes to the success of their own role, but supporting, aligning and proving through data, new strategies, markets and operational efficiencies across Santander Holdings USA. This role requires a person of international diplomacy and curiosity who can conduct strategic data analysis, identify insights, balance and coherently explain implications and make strategic recommendations to the Head of Business Units within Santander.

The incumbent consults with management and business partners on matters of significance regarding strategic approaches, effectiveness of support functions, and business performance improvement opportunities. S/he is often assigned as a project lead on business unit initiatives of strategic importance across multiple business units.

  • Conducts information gathering, strategic research, organization and business process analytics to support business cases for change management, new business growth and existing business maintenance
  • Ability to navigate existing data sources, construct insights and improve data quality across multiple business units and/or internal/external sources.
  • Defines and develops analytical approaches to unprecedented and complex issues – standardizes and operationalizes findings with the ability to explain to matrixed organization how data driven decision making will impact their team, function or business unit positively.
  • Leads system change process from requirements process through implementations provides follow on support, takes feedback and implements recursive testing against forecasted change strategies.
  • Capable of driving communication across a variety of internal shareholders with the intent of structuring symbiotic win-win culture. This may include supporting other business units resource requests.
  • Understand risk mitigation strategies across multiple diverse groups, establish new ones when deploying new workflows under matrixed management in international environments. 
  • Develops consultative partnerships with internal teams and leaders to understand their strategic objectives, key performance indicators and reporting requirements.
  • Arranges meetings with key stakeholders, builds agendas which aligns with the strategic outcomes of the parent organization and the business unit. 
  • Communicates with internal teams and leaders to stay abreast of organization and function operations and is familiar with company practices relevant to metrics, performance indicators, reporting protocols, etc. 
  • Leads special projects/initiatives that are of strategic importance for the function or business unit. 
  • Acts as technical leader for any ad-hoc reporting or project needs in the function or business unit. 
  • Collaborates with and supports senior leaders and their teams to ensure analytical and reporting needs are aligned and supports business and operating results. 
  • Provides guidance to less experienced staff. 
  • Leads projects including assigning work and monitoring quality and completion. 
  • Contributes to the achievement of function or business unit objectives. 
  • Supports data-driven decision-making by team, functional or business unit leaders.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Data Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent field. - Required.

  • 9+ Years Relevant business planning, project and financial experience. - Required.
  • 9+ Years Experience working with complaint standards to include monitoring and evaluating. - Required.
  • 9+ Years Experience working with Analytics and providing process recommendations. - Required.

  • Advanced knowledge in a wide variety of systems coordination, process/product review initiatives and the development of management information requirements for related business functions.
  • Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate department.
  • Ability to determine and report priorities/metrics to senior management.
  • Ability to manage multiple small to medium sized projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to research, analyze, document, and present organizational metrics that drive business decisions.
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking industry: products, services, operational policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of risk management.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.

  • Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience as a project or program manager
  • Understanding of key money movement rails

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range

Minimum:

$93,750.00 USD

Maximum:

$160,000.00 USD
