The Difference You Make:
The Director, Champions a culture of agility and collaboration, driving alignment and efficiency across teams. This role is critical in fostering innovation and improving governance, processes, and routines to optimize workflows and improve velocity and quality to meet organizational objectives.
The Director, Drives cultural and operational transformation to embed product-led thinking across the organization. This role champions strategic alignment, customer-centric design, and disciplined execution across digital product initiatives. It ensures that Santander’s platforms and omni-channel experiences are market-leading, scalable, and deeply aligned to business strategy.
- Own and continuously optimize Santander’s digital product and platform portfolio, ensuring alignment with customer needs, business goals, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner closely with the Head of Platform & Innovation and Head of Omni Channel Experience to shape and execute product strategies, initiatives, and investments.
- Lead product strategy development, portfolio planning, and roadmap governance across multiple product domains.
- Establish and embed product-first principles across teams, ensuring consistent approaches to discovery, prioritization, requirements management, and value delivery.
- Assess capacity across product and platform teams, helping leaders make informed prioritization and capacity trade-off decisions.
- Oversee and enable key cross-functional roles—including UX Research and Copywriting—that are critical to shaping the roadmap, informing investment decisions, and ensuring customer-centric platform design.
- Lead key business and product routines such as Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Program Increment (PI) Planning, ensuring alignment of goals, priorities, and execution.
- Strengthen cross-functional collaboration with Technology, Risk & Compliance, Operations, and Business Units to deliver transformative outcomes.
- Introduce and evolve tools, metrics, and processes to improve transparency, decision-making, and product lifecycle management.
- Mentor product leaders and managers, building organizational capability in modern product management practices.
- Monitor performance and market trends to inform investment decisions and adjust strategies.
- Serve as a thought partner to senior executives in shaping Santander’s digital and product-led transformation agenda.

- BS/BA degree or higher: Project Management, Business, Technology, or related Field - Required.
- MBA: - Preferred.
- 10+ Years Product Management, consulting, or agile transformation experience - Required.
- Strong understanding and demonstration of Product Management
- Seasoned strategist and creative leader who is able to drive Digital strategy, creative, delivery, and real-time/ongoing optimization
- Ability to foster a positive and motivating work environment, encouraging feedback and innovation
- Strong analytical, prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Must have excellent professional presentation skills, and the ability to interact and engage all levels of management/leadership
- Strong leadership, initiative, and planning skills
- Experience leading high engagement, cross-functional strategy execution
- Experience driving the adoption of and achieving successful Agile practices across organizations
Certifications:
- Other: SCRUM or SAFE Product Owner - Preferred.

- Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
- Experience in Microsoft Office products.
What Else You Need To Know:
The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
