The Associate, Sustainability Reporting is responsible for working across business lines to define requirements, perform data analysis, develop programs and deliver analytical solutions that meet the strategic initiatives and planning activities for their designated business area.

USA Job Family Description: Maintains and monitors data and databases to meet the company's current and projected future needs. Reviews and ensures the quality, accuracy and security of data in accordance with established procedures and standards. Monitors database activity and the relationships between the database users and applications to ensure appropriate data usage and resolve data conflicts. Collaborates with technology/infrastructure staff to identify data relationships and functional requirements.

USA Job Function Description: Designs and monitors control systems which ensure the integrity and security of sustainability data. Provides support for programing, policies and initiatives across Santander related to sustainability, driving and monitoring progress on defined sustainability objectives, communicating accomplishments to internal and external stakeholders and building an awareness and culture of sustainability within Santander. Assesses the completeness, accuracy, validity and efficiency of information processing, business and application systems, reviews the operations, systems software, and systems development.

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

  • Manage and report sustainability data, in collaboration with other functions. Work to enhance data capture and quality through strengthening of existing data infrastructure. 
  • Support sustainability-related implementation projects, including learning and development, reporting, and business process transformation projects.
  • Support development of comprehensive and US-wide sustainability strategy, inclusive of product, service and operational pillars.
  • Respond to requests for sustainability information and data collection from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understand and help Santander US navigate reporting requirements (e.g., GRI, ISSB, CSRD) and develop processes, controls and technology to support reporting. Serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Collaborates with business units to define requirements, build datasets, perform analyses, and deliver analytical solutions that meet specific business specifications.
  • Provides thoughtful analysis to enhance reporting functionality and automation of processes.
  • Gathers critical information from meetings with various stakeholders to produce useful reporting working closely with department heads, technicians, and managerial staff.
  • Prepares and analyzes data for timely and accurate managerial reporting, internal/external audits, ad hoc requests, etc.
  • Verifies and confirms data integrity of internally and externally generated reports.
  • Creates and maintains various dashboard(s) to report on metrics and results.
  • Develops effective tools, processes, and templates to enable efficient delivery of services.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, Environmental Science, Public Policy or equivalent quantitative field. Required
  • Master's Degree Business, Public Policy, Environment, Sustainability or equivalent quantitative field. Preferred


Work Experience:

  • 5+ Years Relevant work experience Required

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.
