The Difference You Make:

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is looking for a Vice President – Cash Management Sales to lead origination and commercialization efforts across U.S. and global Financial Institutions Group (FIG) clients.

This is a senior, revenue-generating role combining sales leadership, product expertise, and deal execution. You will act as both a trusted client advisor and internal subject matter expert (SME), driving the full lifecycle of cash management and payments solutions—from origination through execution and ongoing optimization.

What You’ll Do:

Sales Origination & Commercial Leadership

  • Lead origination and execution of cash management mandates across FIG clients, driving new revenue, deposit growth, and wallet share expansion.
  • Build and execute strategic client plans, identifying opportunities across payments, liquidity, and treasury services.
  • Develop and maintain senior relationships with CFOs, Treasurers, and Treasury teams, positioning Santander as a strategic partner.
  • Generate a strong pipeline through market intelligence, sector expertise, and proactive client engagement.

Client Advisory & Solution Structuring

  • Act as a trusted advisor and solutions specialist, translating complex client needs into scalable, revenue-generating solutions.
  • Structure and deliver integrated solutions including:
    • Payments and Collections (ACH, wires, RTP, Lockbox, Checks, Cross-border solutions)
    • Liquidity solutions (cash concentration, pooling, notional pooling)
    • Account services and digital banking platforms
  • Provide customized structuring for complex transactions, including cross-border and multi-entity liquidity frameworks.

Subject Matter Expertise & Deal Execution

  • Serve as an advisor in cash management, payments, and broader commercial banking / trade finance solutions.
  • Lead and support transactions end-to-end—from origination through execution and implementation, ensuring seamless delivery.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Legal, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Liquidity Committees) to structure, approve, and book transactions.
  • Establish and enhance processes and frameworks to support new and complex transaction types across onshore and offshore platforms.
  • Maintain oversight of pipeline, revenue tracking, and exposure reporting.

Global Platform & Internal Leadership

  • Act as the central coordinator for cash management opportunities across Santander’s network.
  • Collaborate closely with GTB Product, Origination, Coverage, Corporate Banking, and global teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Partner with product teams to commercialize solutions, refine pricing, and enhance product positioning.

Strategic Growth & Product Innovation

  • Provide market feedback and client insights to shape product strategy, innovation, and roadmap development.
  • Identify opportunities in:
    • Real-time payments and next-gen rails
    • Digital treasury and automation
    • Cross-border liquidity optimization and emerging settlement models
    • Maintain strong awareness of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments

What You Bring:

  • 8–10+ years of experience in Cash Management, Transaction Banking Sales, in FIG Coverage, or Product Specialist roles within a global financial institution.
  • Proven ability to originate, structure, and close complex cash management and liquidity deals
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Payments and Collections (ACH, wires, RTP, cross-border)
    • Liquidity and deposit strategies
    • Treasury services and digital platforms
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Commercial banking products and trade finance (credit & non-credit)
    • Product lifecycle and commercialization
    • Risk, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
  • Advanced financial analysis, structuring, and risk evaluation skills

What Sets You Apart

  • Deep experience covering Financial Institutions (banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, fintechs) - this experience is mandatory
  • Ability to operate as both a hunter (sales) and solution architect (product/structuring)
  • Experience managing complex, cross-border, multi-product transactions
  • Strong internal network and ability to mobilize global resources effectively

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range:

Minimum:

$185,000.00 USD

Maximum:

$220,000.00 USD
