The Difference You Make:

As a Market Risk Associate, you will play a key role in strengthening and evolving the firm’s market risk capabilities across a diverse and growing set of businesses, including securitized products (agency and non-agency), rates, credit, equities, and convertibles.

You’ll sit at the intersection of risk management, analytics, and technology—driving insights, enhancing infrastructure, and helping shape how risk is measured, monitored, and reported. This role offers strong exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to lead initiatives that improve both risk transparency and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support and enhance the day-to-day market risk infrastructure, ensuring robust and scalable processes

  • Deliver timely, insightful risk reporting and performance analysis across multiple asset classes

  • Conduct ad hoc risk analysis to inform decision-making and support senior risk managers

  • Lead and contribute to strategic initiatives, including project delivery and change management efforts

  • Partner on regulatory and governance-related projects, ensuring alignment with evolving requirements

  • Leverage Python, AI, or similar tools to automate workflows, improve data quality, and increase efficiency in risk monitoring

What You Bring:

To perform this role successfully, you bring a strong foundation in market risk along with a proactive, problem-solving mindset. You are comfortable working with data, technology, and stakeholders to drive meaningful improvements.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline

  • 3+ years of experience in Market Risk, Trading, or Financial Markets Technology within financial services

  • Strong proficiency in Python (or similar) and advanced Excel skills

  • Solid understanding of financial products and market risk metrics

  • Strong analytical, reporting, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Demonstrated quantitative skillset (e.g., statistics, data analysis)

Certifications:

  • No certifications required

It Would Be Nice For You To Have:

  • Experience working with Bloomberg (including API), Intex, or Polypaths

  • Track record of driving process improvements or automation initiatives

  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range:

Minimum:

$90,000.00 USD

Maximum:

$155,000.00 USD
