Role Overview
We are seeking an Agency MBS Investment Strategist, Vice President, to support market coverage, client engagement, and the development of actionable insights across the Agency MBS space. This role will work closely with internal partners and external clients, providing market intelligence, relative value analysis, and product insight to support investment discussions and client needs.
Responsibilities
Cover the Agency MBS market, with a focus on pass-throughs, CMOs, and mortgage derivatives
Monitor these markets closely daily to assess relative value and changes in demand across asset classes
Analyze market data, trends, and client activity to develop actionable insights
Prepare reports, market updates, and written commentary for internal stakeholders and clients
Partner directly with clients to understand their needs and provide relevant market color and investment ideas
Translate client objectives and market developments into clear, tailored solutions
Collaborate with internal teams to support business development and client coverage efforts
Deliver presentations and communicate market views clearly and effectively to a range of audiences
Qualifications
Strong understanding of Agency MBS products, including pass-throughs, CMOs, and mortgage derivatives
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities
Strong selling skills and the ability to engage effectively with institutional clients
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate them into relevant solutions
Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities across changing market conditions
Highly motivated, ambitious, and entrepreneurial approach
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
FINRA Series 7 and Series 63

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.

What Else You Need To Know:
The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
