The primary function of the Commercial & Wholesale Operations Specialist is selected activities in the loan/letter of credit booking, funding, payments and maintenance process for the defined lines of business, or executing specific related controls, utilizing the systems and processes defined by management.

  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

  • Executes commercial loan requests received from business areas supported by the department.

  • Executes transactions required by reports and incoming maintenance requests.

  • Files documentation accurately.

  • Identifies and resolves problems within established guidelines.

  • Performs dollar transactions, collateral setup and maintenance, and quality review.

  • Processes specific transactions involving booking and servicing commercial loans.


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience - Business or equivalent degree.

  • 0-3 years - Working knowledge in Company's documentation and banking operations.

  • Ability to adapt quickly and be a team player

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Solid communication, good organizational skills, and attention to details

  • Solid knowledge/skills of Microsoft Office Suite and various bank systems

  • Strong knowledge of the Syndicated and Commercial Loan products and markets

  • Working knowledge in Commercial Banking

  • May frequently require minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking

  • Collects data and relevant facts to communicate problems

  • Presents the general outline and direction of the solution

  • Demonstrates the organization’s customer service standards

  • Ensures all tasks are carried out correctly

  • Learns from past mistakes and ensures that they are not repeated in similar future situations

  • Learns about and diligently follows established risk management policies, processes and procedures

  • Openly and proactively shares information

  • Responds promptly to customer inquiries

  • Takes responsibility for issues and, with assistance, works to find a solution

  • Understands the central role the risk management function plays in the organization environment

  • Learns to identify and flag items non-compliant with regulations

  • Works effectively in team settings

  • Shows appreciation for others' help and lends a hand when needed to complete shared tasks
